If you are elected and are faced with having to make reductions in the school budget, where would you recommend that reductions be made?

Increase automation in all of our government systems, especially the generation of IEP documentation, scheduling of classes, feedback on the quality of the classes per student "learning-style" profiles, and the work required to grade the curriculum.  We need to use technology to its best effect.  To date, we have been willing to see ourselves as a community that can afford to be high-end consumers of the technology with little attention to using the rising curve of innovation to cut our yearly budgetary costs.

Our disregard for sustainable living in some of our schools by using single stream trash contractors is in direct conflict with our identity as a town for national level innovation in recycling.  Again, we are leaders in many ways and want to remain ahead of the game. This commitment to sustainable processes saves us money.

By looking at ways to crowd-source our kids educational needs, we can cut costs by employing a different mindset to evaluate solutions to save money.
